The Frenchman joined Formula 1 in an exciting time of expansion and evolution. Here we look at the Politoys FX3 in detail, as Len Bailey’s design hit a multitude of problems leading to a rethink. After a disappointing experience with De Tomaso, the early 70s saw Williams switch to March while waiting for his own car to be built.
