Lotus 72E - 1973 as driven by Ronnie Peterson

Fresh from winning his first world title in 1972, Brazilian driver Emerson Fittipaldi was the man of the moment. But while he aimed to retain his title, Ronnie Peterson arrived at Lotus and quickly became a favourite of the owner, Colin Chapman. Take a closer look at the Lotus 72E, driven by Peterson, which made its debut in Spain in 1973. Aerodynamics prevailed over engine power and nothing would be the same again.
