F1 COLLECTION 148
BRM P153 - 1970
BRM P153 as driven by Jackie Oliver
BRM made a comeback to the podium in 1970, thanks to the skill of Pedro Rodriguez and Jackie Oliver. The new single-seater P153 was designed by a promising 30-year-old engineer, Tony Southgate.
Thanks to the quality of the P142 engine and the successful evolutions of the P153, 1970 wouldn’t be the last time that BRM was seen at the top of the podium. Founded at the end of the Second World War by Raymond Mays, we look at BRM from 1951 to 1961, when the team tried to curb the dominance of the Italians at the top levels.
This issue features the 1978 Canadian Grand Prix and 1966 Italian champion Lodovico Scarfiotti.
