Ligier JS5 as driven by Jacques Laffite

The JS5 was the first single-seater built by the French team. Thanks to the ingenious design of talented engineer Gérard Ducarouge, the car was immediately competitive, enabling Jacques Laffite to perform well.

After taking over Osella, owner Gabriele Rumi tried to breathe new life into the team; we look at Fondmetal from 1991 - 1992.
