A true ‘racing car for the road’, the Elise GT1 was built for competition, with just one road car built to satisfy the homologation requirements. Underneath the skin, the only thing that linked the GT1 version of the Elise to the standard car was the centre section of its chassis. Two different V8 engines were offered.
