Wales' two star players sealed the Dragons' triumph over Turkey. In the first half, Gareth Bale laid on three chances for Aaron Ramsey: the No.10 missed the first two but not the third, putting his team ahead. In the second half, Bale set up Connor Roberts to score the second. Wales won 2-0, securing, at the very least, third place in Group A. Their last victory over the Turks came in 1981.
