With a glut of goals against Russia, Denmark finished second in the group to qualify for the next round of the tournament. Mikkel Damsgaard and Yusuf Poulsen scored, but Artem Dzyuba reduced the deficit before Andreas Christensen and Joakim Mæhle sealed the victory. Aged 20 years and 353 days, Damsgaard is the youngest Danish goal scorer in European Championship history.
