Hesketh 308B as driven by Harald Ertl

The first Hesketh was driven to victory at Silverstone in 1974 by James Hunt, before being used as a spare car. It was sold in 1975 to the Stiller team and given to Alan Jones before ending up in the hands of motorsports journalist and driver Harald Ertl.

While Ertl enjoyed a decent racing career, he would never reach the heights of Jones, let alone Hunt. But the Austrian did have the good fortune to drive a car that has gone down in history for being the first Hesketh built, as well as the one that achieved the first overall victory.

British teams began to make their mark as we see from Rob Walker Racing active from 1953 to 1962.

Plus, the 1977 Spanish Grand Prix and F1 Champion Carlos Pace are both highlighted.
